Beyond the Grapes: Exploring Again

It's been a while since we were all out of the house here in Irpinia, but over the last week and a half it's been possible to slowly start exploring again. My first stops have included spending as much time as possible in the countryside, seeing friends, and meeting new winemakers I've been dying to know. None of this has been a disappointment, and I've found the resilience and resolve of Irpinians stronger than ever.

exploring the countryside

The region is pulling together and we’re all working together to help those in need while finding the best path forward. As travel comes into the picture again, we’ll be ready with new ideas for how you explore the best of Irpinia. And if you’re not able to travel, we’re working on more fun ways to bring Irpinia to your home including private virtual wine tastings, cooking courses, and more. Reach out and send an email if you’re interested in more information on private Irpinia adventures.

Here's what’s awaiting you in Irpinia...

We’re adding new wine club wineries nearly daily... Well as often as my liver can handle! We have three new small production, family-run wineries for you to explore. Like all our wineries, they’re using generations of family learnings and natural techniques to make the best wines. From bold Aglianicos, to crisp whites from grapes I’d bet you’ve never heard of, we’ve got some amazing exclusive wines on the way. Not a member of the club, join here. Our partners at Schneider’s of Capitol Hill will hook you up. You don’t want to miss out.

Out in the countryside: One of my favorite things to do is to explore in the countryside. Walks in the wildflowers, reading in the olive trees or walking the vineyards. There’s nothing that energizes me more.

Eating pizza of course! There’s only been one thing missing from the amazing food I’ve been eating at home, and that’s a proper wood oven Neapolitan style pizza. So you know that was one of my first stops. Thankfully, our friend Rosa brought us to Daniele Gourmet where we ate not only delicious pizza, but we sampled our way through all their mouthwatering offerings.

Stay tuned for more!
